What's a BTU?

Where can I use Direct-Vent Heating?

Short for British Thermal Unit, this basic measure (ironically, no longer in use in Great Britain) is technically the amount of energy needed to heat one pound of water one degree Fahrenheit.

High-efficiency Direct Vent Heating Systems produce as much as 40,000 BTUs per hour, and our water heating systems can produce up to 199,000 BTUs per hour; the numbers are a convenient way to compare performance and heat output between systems.
